What do you like about being bipolar?
I’ve always wanted to care less as strange as that sounds. I’m getting better at it.
I still have a great deal of patience BUT not for everyone anymore, just the people that earn it.
Bipolar has brought me closer to God and closer to what I want…I just have to be careful now in what I ask as it does come, but not in the way you expect sometime.
How about you?

Tue, February 26, 2008 - 10:01 PMHaving my own emotions, which cannot be easily suppressed, categorized or ignored. I almost never feel that my emotions are silly, which is apparently something un affected people feel.
And somehow I have become happily accustomed to being violent. No speeches on that one please. I have been getting no-violence lectures for 15 years. -

Tue, February 26, 2008 - 10:19 PMHaving to get more in touch w/what's on my mind & vocalizing it. Learning a whole new set of skills to manage what I am & can accomplish. Knowing my creativity isn't gone, just channeled better.
I see the world w/the eyes of a child...bright & new. Laughter finds me & balances the darkness.

empathy.
and an ability to see what other close their eyes, ears, hearts and minds to.
the ability to see thru the facade, to greet a drunken homeless old man with a dance, and a 17yr pierced dude ... known as mickey the best mouse, to try and keep an open mind.
most of all, empathy.
vision, idealism ... fast furious thoughts that if you take yr lamictal .. et.al .. whatever wks 4 u,
They are insights.
i both embrace and despise the madness and melancholia.

I’m not even sure if I’m bipolar. When I was changing meds I was pretty close to being manic and I loved the lust.
Unfortunately for me I just get mood swings and stay at the depression end most of the time.

Sat, March 15, 2008 - 9:06 PMThe sex.....for a long time I didn't want to admit it. I thought it was so wrong the want to be so sexually active. I really did just want to have sex all the time with my ex husband. I was ashamed. I felt out of control. After, when I was told this (sex) is part of it I felt free.
Now, I just really enjoy it. And.... well.....some of the pills j/k -
